Our Age-Specific Programs
Ages 5-6: Foundation & Coordination
Safe falling techniques (Ukemi) :
Learning to land safely and confidently.
Basic movement skills :
Developing motor skills through fun drills.
Intro to grip fighting & control :

Mini ground engagement :
Light groundwork to develop core strength.

Ages 7-8: Fundamentals & Controlled Application
Children begin learning structured judo techniques while still engaging in age-appropriate games to maintain enjoyment and motivation. At this stage, they are introduced to:
Refined falling techniques :
Improved breakfalls for safety.
Basic judo throws (Nage-waza) :
Learning mechanics in a controlled manner.
Simple groundwork techniques (Ne-waza) :
Holds, escapes, and body positioning.
Basic Randori (free practice) :
Introduction to light, controlled sparring.

Ages 9-10: Skill Development & Structured Progression
This is where students start refining their technical skills and applying them with greater control. Training shifts towards structured judo techniques and live application, including:

Developing effective execution of techniques.
Groundwork techniques :
Control, turnovers, and basic submissions (age-appropriate).
Introduction to tactical judo :
Learning combinations and counters.
Grading & structured progress tracking :
Encouraging goal-setting through belt promotions.

Internal club matches to introduce a competitive mindset.

Ages 11-15: Competitive & Advanced Training
At this stage, students train with a stronger emphasis on athletic development, competition readiness, and advanced technique execution. Sessions include:

More dynamic throwing variations.
Groundwork mastery :
Improved transitions and submissions.
Tactical application & strategy :
Preparing for competitions with strategic drills.
